It offers endless gameplay possibilities, thanks to a randomly generated map that ensures no two sessions will be the same. A unique and familiar dice-rolling system for movement, encounters and combat mechanics that add even more spontaneity and diversity to your games: your luck can change with every roll.
For The King II offers a complete campaign, with more than 30 hours of gameplay spread over 5 different adventures, but all linked by the storyline. It's going to be a long and bumpy ride, but never fear! If your group fails, you can try again. You'll start your next game wiser and stronger than ever, with better items in your inventory.
Form your group by choosing from a selection of 12 characters, each with their own class, skills, strengths and weaknesses, and a style all their own. Whether it's the powerful Blacksmith or the clever Alchemist with a virtuosity for potions, it's up to you to choose which character will take on the Queen's fearsome guards and which strategy will lead you to victory. Add new characters and strengthen your group with mercenaries and companions, who will enable you to tame wild beasts in the wilderness or recruit henchmen at the tavern (in exchange for a few coins) when the situation calls for it.
Explore Fahrul on your own or with up to three friends in four-player co-op mode. In single-player mode, you control all the characters in the group, giving you complete control over the map and combat strategy. In co-op mode, you'll have to negotiate and coordinate with your teammates. Play in online multiplayer mode with your friends, controlling your own characters, or in offline co-op mode on the same PC. Offline co-op mode supports multiple controllers (all controllers are active at the same time during each player's turn).
Inspired by classic turn-based games, For The King II adds a complex strategic dimension to your favourite combat mechanics with the new Battle Grid. Your movements and position will earn you and your enemies bonuses or penalties. Defend the rearguard by equipping yourself with a shield, push your enemies into flaming pools or trap opposing troops using the black magic of the weapons you've looted. The choice is yours!
