Originally conceived by legendary developer Sid Meier, Civilization is a turn-based strategy game that challenges you to build an empire that can stand the test of time. Guide your civilisation from the Stone Age to the Information Age to reign supreme over the planet. To build the most illustrious of all civilisations, you will go to war, conduct negotiations and advance your culture, all the while striving to stand up to the greatest leaders in history.

Civilization VI renews the codes of the licence: cities now physically extend across the map; active research in the fields of technology and culture unlocks new potential; and opposing leaders will strive to respect their historical characteristics in an attempt to achieve one of the five victory conditions before you.

EMPIRES BIGGER THAN EVER

watch the wonders of your empire spread across the map! Each city covers several squares, so it's up to you to change their layout to make the most of the terrain.

ACTIVE RESEARCH

Unlock improvements to speed up your civilisation's progress through history. To make faster progress, assign your units to active exploration, develop your environment and discover new cultures.

DYNAMIC DIPLOMACY

Interactions with other civilisations change over time. Initially primitive and based on conflict, they will become about alliances and negotiations at the end of the game.

MERGING ARMIES

The concept of one unit per square is supported by new mechanisms. Support units can now be superimposed on others, such as an anti-tank gun with an infantry unit, or a warrior with a colonist. In addition, identical units can be merged to create powerful army corps.

ENHANCED MULTIPLAYER

Alongside the traditional multiplayer modes, you can take on your friends or play cooperatively in a variety of situations, all designed to be completed in a single session.

A CIV FOR EVERYONE

Civilization VI offers experienced players new ways of building and directing their civilization, to help them maximise their chances of success. As for new users, introductory courses make it easier to discover the game by presenting its main concepts.
