Discover a game set during the Bakumatsu period, in which players control a ronin, who forges his own destiny in an open world. The game features multiple endings and allows players to choose which faction they support, such as the "anti-shogunate faction", the "pro-shogunate faction" or the "Western forces", which can greatly alter the outcome of the story.

History
The story takes place in Japan in 1863. After three centuries of Tokugawa shogunate rule, Western black ships arrive at the nation's borders and the country is in turmoil. With war raging, disease rampant and politics uncertain, a nameless warrior charts his own course, with the future of Japan in his hands.

Create your own story with multiple choices and endings.

You are a nameless warrior, a ronin. Your destiny changes according to the choices you make. You'll meet many historical figures and factions with different ideologies. Talk to the leader of the anti-shogunate faction, "Ryoma Sakamoto", and to "Isami Kondo", the leader of the organisation under the control of the Shogunate, the "Shinsengumi". You'll enjoy the tumultuous experience of the Bakumatsu period. You'll have some drastic choices to make. You can protect or assassinate famous figures such as Naosuke Ii, and forge your own story thanks to the multiple endings system.

Customise your 'weapons' and 'fighting styles' as you see fit to make the most of a combat system that's as deep as it is accessible.
You can choose from a range of melee weapons, including the 'katana', 'spear' and 'odachi'. Each weapon has multiple 'fighting styles'. By combining these elements with your own and your enemies' weapons, you can define your own fighting style. You can also strategically use different ranged weapons such as 'guns' or 'bows' depending on the situation.

Explore the beautiful cities of 'Edo', 'Yokohama' and 'Kyoto' in a stunning open world.
In the cultural landscape of "Edo", "Yokohama" and "Kyoto" during the Bakumatsu period, you can enjoy magnificent scenes that change with the seasons. Some of them will be accompanied by falling cherry blossoms or autumn leaves. You can use a grappling hook to climb onto the roofs and your glider, the Avicula. Finally, you can capture your favourite scenes in "photo mode".

Customise your character's appearance
You can change the appearance of your character, the 'Secret Blade', from facial features to hair, body shape, voice and make-up. Over the course of your adventure, you'll also pick up clothes and equipment to further modify your appearance.
