NEW DETECTION SYSTEM
A good sports director needs to know how to recruit tomorrow's talent, which is why we've introduced a new scouting system. You need to send your scouts to different territories to find the best talent. Your scouts progress and improve their effectiveness over time. They regularly provide you with information (potential, characteristics, etc.) that leads you to make choices (observation, integration into the development team, etc.) in order to learn more about these riders. Obviously, you are in competition with the other teams.
A NEW GENERATION OF RIDERS
This new system is based on the level and potential of young riders and a 6-star rating. From now on, the riders created will be juniors aged between 16 and 18, and the pool will consist of between 1,500 and 2,000 youngsters each year (3 times as many as before). These new riders will be more versatile and will develop in a similar way to the current stars.
RIDER DEVELOPMENT
As with the young riders, we want them to be more versatile, and the development system has been redesigned with this in mind. It's also vital that your riders integrate perfectly into the team, and create a positive relationship with the coach, otherwise their progress will not be optimal.
MORE DIVERSE RACING
In Pro Cycling Manager 2022, thanks to a more diversified peloton, you can experience scenarios that go beyond the usual pattern of a Tour stage, for example. You can find yourself in a race that comes to life right from the start, with the favourites taking the lead, or with numerous attacks in the first hour of the race.
OTHER IMPROVEMENTS
The interface has been reworked, with a complete overhaul of the cyclist page and new statistics, highlighting riders' abilities and results and adding an interface for comparing riders' characteristics.
Endurance and resistance scores have a greater impact on the repetition of efforts during a race. This allows some riders to make several attacks or to better manage their efforts at the end of the race.
The form of the day is now closer to the predicted form. In order to offer complete customisation, it is now possible to set 2 parameters: the amplitude of the bonuses (from +5 to -5 until complete deactivation) and whether or not the variation is activated.
Simulation time has been optimised and is now twice as fast as before.
It is now possible to have specific team jerseys for a given race.
