Torn somehow from New York City, Frey Holland finds herself trapped in the awesome world of Athia. A magical bracelet with a consciousness is inexplicably wrapped around her wrist, and Frey discovers she can cast powerful spells and use magic to navigate Athia's sprawling landscapes.
Frey nicknames her new companion 'Krav' and sets out to find her way home.
She soon discovers that this magnificent world once flourished under the reign of benevolent matriarchs called "Tanntas", until a merciless plague corrupted everything.
