WHEN MAN MEETS MAGIC AND MACHINE. The year is 2054. Magic has made a dramatic return to the world, awakening powerful creatures from myth and legend. You take on the role of a shadowrunner, a mercenary on the fringes of society who exists in the shadows of the gigantic arcologies of multinational corporations, surviving day by day thanks to his talent and survival instinct. When the powerful or the desperate need someone for a job, you make sure it gets done... no matter the means.

In the sprawling urban jungle of the megalopolis of Seattle, the hunt for a mysterious killer sets you on a trail that will take you from the city's darkest underworld to the headquarters of its most powerful mega-corporations. You'll need to proceed with caution, enlist the services of other runners and harness powerful forces of magic and technology if you hope to emerge from Seattle's shadows unscathed.

Shadowrun's unique blend of cyberpunk and fantasy has generated a cult following since its inception almost 25 years ago. Now its creator, Jordan Weisman, is returning to the world of Shadowrun and modernising the setting of this great classic into a single-player turn-based tactical RPG.

Gripping, tactical combat: when you're working in the shadows, every turn is crucial. Choose your actions carefully, moving to find better cover, charging in close combat or launching a fireball into the middle of a group of enemies. With a vast array of spells and weapons at your disposal, each turn will force you to make a crucial decision. Successful missions require you to lead a team of runners, choosing the right balance of combat, technology and magical abilities.

Skill-based character progression: choose a starting character archetype and develop it! Street Samurai and Physical Adepts use advanced combat skills to dominate the battlefield, Shamans and Mages summon powerful allies and cast terrifying spells, while Riggers and Deckers provide crucial support technology and project their consciousness directly into drones and computer systems. Shadowrun's classless skill system allows you to develop your character in any direction you choose. Want to start out summoning spirits with an Orc Shaman and evolve into a weapons specialist with cybernetic implants? Why not!
