This new opus has been co-created by Kojima Productions and PlatinumGames, and marks the return of one of our favourite characters, Raiden. It's been four years since the events of METAL GEAR SOLID 4: GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS, where players were reunited with the cybernetically enhanced former Foxhound agent.
Since then, Raiden has settled down with his wife and son, and is content with his role as a security guard for an SMP (private military company) called Maverick Security Consulting.
But when a mission to protect an African minister ends with the latter's assassination by super-trained cyborgs, Raiden's hopes of a quiet life are dashed and he is forced to return to the front. Armed with his 'High Frequency Blade', a Katana that can cut through any material, he is tasked with stopping the renegades of the SMP known as 'Desperado Enforcement' by any means necessary. Featuring lightning-fast action sequences where players can make the most of Raiden's blade thanks to a highly intuitive control system, METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE combines the graphical finesse and storytelling of the METAL GEAR series.
