Telling the story of Dante's early life against a contemporary backdrop, DmC Devil May Cry™ retains the stylish action, fluid combat and sassy, charismatic protagonist that have defined this iconic series while inserting a rift with its more brutal and visceral predecessors.

The Dante of DmC is a young man with no respect for authority, or for society in general. Dante knows that he is neither human, nor like the demons that have tormented him throughout his life. Caught between two worlds, he feels like an outcast.
With the help of his twin brother, Vergil, leader of the protest group called 'The Order', Dante gradually discovers what it means to be the son of a demon and an angel, and begins to accept it. This dual personality has a major impact on the gameplay, with Dante able to call upon angelic or demonic abilities at will, transforming his Rebellion sword on the fly, which will have a radical impact on combat and movement.
