In Just Cause, you take on the role of a Latino field agent specialising in regime change, backed by a top-secret US government agency that wants to overthrow the corrupt government of San Esperito. This South American state is suspected of wanting to acquire weapons of mass destruction, and you are tasked with eradicating the threat to world peace. You could well take advantage of the chaos that reigns in this little tropical paradise, where several factions are battling it out for power. All you have to do is give it a little push in the right direction.
Just Cause gives you complete freedom to carry out your missions: push the different factions on the island to clash, foment a revolution among the people or form an alliance with the rebel forces or drug cartels. The action takes place in incredibly detailed settings covering 1,025 km² of mountains, jungles, beaches, towns and villages. You can explore the island by land, sea or air, using a variety of exciting vehicles never before seen in a video game.
