"We Happy Few tells the story of an intrepid group of moderately terrifying characters trying to escape a lifetime of happy denial in the town of Wellington Wells. In an alternative 60s England where conformity reigns, you'll have to fight or melt amongst other drug-ravaged residents, who generally show little kindness to those who don't play by their strange rules.

Discover the dark history of the retro-futuristic town through the interwoven stories of three quietly rebellious Wellington Wells residents. With their strengths and weaknesses, they all come to terms with their past, prepare for the future and indulge in activities that don't really respect the status quo of a society with artificial enthusiasm.

A dystopian England of the 60s

Set in a retro-futuristic England of the 60s, you'll find a town ravaged by war and rebuilt by a happy crowd immersed in illusory happiness. Everything seems perfectly happy in Wellington Wells, including the roads, the people and the ubiquitous TV presenter, Uncle Jack! But this vast, idyllic world is about to come crashing down. You'll discover the history of this world, and what led to its hypnotic gaiety.

Three intertwined stories

Enter the shoes of three anti-heroes who are searching for their personal connection to the events surrounding the reconstruction of Wellington Wells. Each follows their own scenario, interpreting the events around them and reacting in different ways. Under one of these three identities, hide, blend in or defend yourself, in a world of dark humour, hope and even redemption.

Customisable gameplay

In addition to the procedurally generated world, there are many other ways to customise your We Happy Few experience:

Choose from several difficulty levels, beginner mode or expert mode,

Try permadeath mode if you want to satisfy your masochistic needs,

Collect recipes, eliminate objects and create numerous weapons, tools and devices,

Make your way by crawling or by force, or disguise yourself as the locals, going through puzzles and making different encounters,

fight bare-handed or with the absurd weapons you've created.
