Batman: Arkham Origins is the latest instalment in the successful Batman: Arkham video game franchise.

Developed by WB Games Montreal, the game plunges us into an even bigger Gotham City and an all-new story set several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, the critically acclaimed first two instalments in the franchise. Set long before the arrival of Gotham City's most dangerous criminals, the game introduces us to the young, raw and inexperienced Batman. As he begins his fight against evil, he will have to make a decisive choice that will lead him to become the Dark Knight. As the story progresses, the player will meet key characters and develop crucial relationships.

The Arkham Story Begins: Batman: Arkham Origins features an all-new single-player campaign written by Dooma Wendschuh and Corey May, with contributions from Geoff Johns. Players take on the role of a Batman at the beginning of his career, as he takes on the supervillains that will change the course of his life for the first time.

Enhanced Detective Mode: Batman's detective skills are put to the test with an all-new system that allows players to comb crime scenes for crucial clues. Players use Batman's bonnet and the Bat-Computer to digitally recreate crime scenes to uncover clues that the human eye could never detect.

Gotham City like you've never seen it before: Explore Gotham City before it became Arkham City, and discover unexplored locations and legendary landmarks from the Batman universe. The rich and dynamic environments are home to criminals of all kinds, show "crimes in progress" and include other content to keep players exploring and immersed.

Side missions: Hunt down criminals who are linked to the main plot but who are independent of it. It's up to the player to decide if they want to complete these side missions.

New enemies : Meet new enemies such as the Armored Enforcer and the Martial Artist, who require the player to approach the Free Flow combat system differently.

New gadgets: Use an arsenal of gadgets from previous instalments of Batman: Arkham, as well as new items such as the remote-controlled Bat Claw, which allows Batman to quickly disable enemies by attaching them to each other or to nearby objects.

Famous and never-before-seen characters: Meet many of the most iconic characters from the DC Comics universe, including Black Mask, The Penguin, Deathstroke, Bane, Anarky, Policeman Gordon, The Joker and many more.
