Shelter 2 is now available on Steam

The beauty of nature goes hand in hand with its implacable harshness. This is central to Shelter 2, and it's one of the reasons why we chose to create a game with a lynx as its protagonist. Lynx are at the centre of the food chain, living in a tundra where far more vicious predators prowl.

The game follows the journey of a pregnant mother lynx, in a maternal adventure where raising your offspring well is essential to survival. Shelter 2 features more elaborate gameplay mechanics than its predecessor, including stamina, new moves and jumps, and a host of prey to kill.

As well as hunting, there are plenty of parenting elements, such as calling your young, carrying them away from danger, smelling prey and making sure you drink water from rivers.

A wild epic awaits

Shelter 2's environments are far more expansive than its predecessor's, allowing even more freedom for players to find their favourite places and return to them at will. This time around, the weather and seasons change, with icy winters and blossoming summers awaiting you!

The music is once again provided by Retro Family, who won awards for their work on the Pid soundtrack, and the visuals have been reinvented by adding a dense atmosphere and lighting effects.
