In the universe of Going Medieval,
humanity in the Dark Ages has collapsed into nothingness. In the twilight of the 14th century, 95% of the world's population has succumbed to an endemic plague.
Deserted regions were invaded by exuberant vegetation. But man is resilient, and one fine day, survivors emerge from the ashes of society, and it is now up to you to guide this group of survivors.
Build them a home and protect them from brigands, barbarians and fanatics in a post-apocalyptic era with no laws, no social classes and no borders. Design, build and develop your colony. Start with a small wooden hut, and grow it into a gigantic stone castle. A maze of caverns with unfathomable depths or dizzying, sprawling forts several storeys high... It's up to you to create the perfect bastion using intuitive 3D modelling tools. This uncompromising post-apocalyptic world is fraught with danger, but you can help your settlers protect themselves by building impenetrable defences and laying traps. Develop and manufacture weapons and equipment so that your people can fend off the relentless waves of aggressors. Your settlers must not only defend themselves against bloodthirsty attacks, but also fight against famine and the elements. Stock up on food and materials, then build a shelter to keep everyone warm and fed. You'll also need to keep your villagers' spirits high by satisfying their needs and desires. Increase the number of inhabitants by helping strangers cope with dangerous situations or by welcoming like-minded travellers. All your villagers have a past and ambitions. Get to know each of them by observing their behaviour and their relationships with others.
