NBA 2K20 for PC is a sports simulation game featuring NBA basketball. It is produced under official licence from the NBA itself, so the sponsorship, rules of the game, many of the details, idiosyncrasies and playing styles of the players are as authentic as they can be.

About the game

As with other basketball simulation games, there are several options available to players. You can choose to play as one of the many players uploaded to the game, with realistic stats and their playing preferences already filled in, or you can choose to build your own player, adding character and plenty of personality, ball control and strategic ability!

This version of the game offers all the features that players have come to expect from officially-recognised high-end simulation games, with superb, realistic graphics that could pass for video footage, smooth, seamless gameplay, 3D scans and real player movement to give the game incredible detail.

New in this edition

For the first time, the WNBA is represented in the game, and its involvement is extensive and in-depth. There are twelve world-class teams - all based on real teams - with player hairstyles and faces captured with precision in the studios. But the diversity isn't just aesthetic: there are detailed playbooks and defensive tactics for each team, all based on real coaching work and team play.

As ever, there are plenty of microtransactions for the impatient who want to get to the top of coaching and play pool as quickly as possible, but you can get exactly the same results by winning and collecting the items you want, or need, instead. So there's no risk of the game or victory being divided into "winners who can pay for victory" and "losers who can't or won't pay". Head to the top and win!

This game features a larger-than-usual open world, so your characters can get out of the training room and explore more of the game, see what they can find and use, and enjoy some downtime when they're not training.

The game's graphics and coding have been improved so that ball handling and defensive plays are smoother, as well as being more rewarding. The AI has been updated to provide a more realistic interaction between the player and the computer.
