The campaign tells the gripping story of rising global tensions, and in each mission you'll overcome new tactical challenges directly linked to the unfolding storyline. Whether defending key positions with elite units, or launching risky joint force offensives, each mission is designed to put your commanding skills to the test, in dynamic and militarily authentic scenarios.
In addition to the single-player campaign, you can take on the AI in Skirmish mode, on 19 maps inspired by authentic locations. You can choose your favourite specialisations and choose between different difficulty levels. Team up with your friends and learn the ropes at your own pace as you take on AIs of varying difficulty, representing the Battle Groups you'll encounter on the battlefield. At release, Skirmish mode does not yet allow you to play cooperatively alongside an allied AI in your team, but this option will become available in a future update.
But if you prefer to fight human opponents, take advantage of the online play features to take part in thrilling multiplayer matches of up to 5 vs 5. Track your progress online as you climb the leaderboards and gain general experience to level up and win new medals.
Give free rein to your creativity with the powerful scenario editor, the same one used to create the game's missions. Imagine complex scenarios, complete with cinematics and dialogue using a visual scripting system.

With over 300 units available, and more than 1500 possible combinations, you have the tools to adapt your forces to your style of play. Equip vehicles and aircraft with different weapons, armour configurations and support systems to gain the upper hand on the battlefield.
Victory depends on good planning. Broken Arrow offers a wide range of units grouped by key roles:
Deploy your troops to the battlefield by land, sea or air. Use paratroopers and helicopters to capture strategic sites, reinforce them with heavy tanks and repel counter-attacks with artillery and tactical missile strikes.
Infiltrate your special forces behind enemy lines to cut logistical lines and laser-mark targets for air strikes. Use the terrain to your advantage to ambush, flank and outflank your opponent.
Take part in combat on vast battlefields inspired by real locations. From industrial ports to dense urban centres, each environment presents different strategic challenges and opportunities.
