Enemy encounters

As you explore the world of Northbarrow and uncover the reasons for the sudden appearance of enemies in the area, you'll come up against many different styles of enemy, as well as magical and elite enemies with powers. Epic boss battles await you at the end of the final floor of each new zone.

Loot and equipment

You can use over 200 randomly generated items to complete your challenges.

Attack speed, extra damage, critical strike chance, fire damage, freeze chance, movement speed, blocking chance - all of these allow for multiple equipment combinations.

Permanent and temporary stat-boosting items, offensive and defensive scrolls, risky trinkets, bombs and alchemical concoctions.

Game styles

Join the ranks of Northbarrow's army by fighting as melee or ranged characters, divided into four classes, each with a distinct play style and unique items. Further customise your play style by choosing one of eight class specialisations (plus 4 unlockables), and shape your path through levelling up by choosing one of the many class perks. You'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to making your race an experience that's right up your street.

Exploration and secrets

It's not just about hacking and slashing your way through waves of enemies, it's also about finding special encounters, both common and rare, comrades from Northbarrow's army (hopefully still alive) and even the strangest citizens of the world.
