The world's unquenchable need for entertainment has turned into a thirst for blood. Entertainment giant TEC1 is set to launch the second season of its SCUM TV series. This new season moves the contest from the enclosed indoor arenas to the lush forests, rolling fields and rugged terrain of TEC1's private SCUM Island. Fan favourites and new inmates will face off in a ruthless war of survival as they battle for the support of viewers, producers and sponsors for glory, gifts and a chance of life after death.

SCUM aims to evolve the open-world multiplayer survival game with unprecedented levels of character customisation, control and progression, where knowledge and skill are the ultimate weapons for long-term survival. Combining the methodical planning and management of hardcore survival with optional PvP "network events" available to anyone at any time, SCUM strikes a unique balance between complex simulation and intense action in the new generation of survival games.

FEATURES [ALPHA]

Complex simulation: SCUM uses dozens of complex systems to allow players to go as far as they want in managing their character. Players can immerse themselves in the minutiae of the survival experience with systems controlling their character's metabolism, inertia during movement, and even the speed at which layers of clothing dry on and off the body. The devil is in the detail...

Massive landscapes: Traverse and explore 144km² of terrain including dense forests, picturesque beaches, serene fields, abandoned towns and dilapidated airfields. Initially, the vast terrain will be traversed on foot and, as development progresses, vehicles will be introduced for faster travel.

Networked PvP events: Join TEC1's networked events at the click of a button and be transported to closed areas of the island for heated PvP matches. Volunteer for an event and take on other prisoners, with glory points and valuable loot up for grabs for those who survive.

Expanded gameplay: While the current version of SCUM already includes basic crafting, combat and customisation systems, functionality and gameplay will be continually expanded to include more advanced mechanics, a wider variety of gameplay and a metarecit that allows players to complete missions in the hope of getting off the island...

Online multiplayer: Survive with up to 64 players per server, with the option of renting your own server directly from the game menu.
