PayDay 2 to be released on steam

Payday 2 is largely based on the concept of its predecessor.

It's still a four-player cooperative FPS that puts you in the shoes of a violent gang of bank robbers.
This time, Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains have decided to exercise their talents in Washington.

For this second instalment, studio Overkill initially sought to flesh out the content and give its title more scope. The developers are now talking in terms of narrative, insofar as the jobs can sometimes be broken down into several missions, allowing players to experience what happens before, during and after a robbery.

The different scenarios - of which there will be 30 when the game is released - offer a real variety of objectives and situations. In particular, some missions start right in the heat of the action. For example, you have to protect bags full of drugs that you've collected beforehand.
After just a few seconds, you find yourself under a hail of bullets from the police, who hunt down the gang in the most brutal of ways.
You have to deal with this threat while managing your loot, and that's no easy task when you know that a stray bullet can set fire to the lorry carrying the drugs, causing irreversible financial losses.
