DRIVE TO SURVIVE

You and your station wagon will have to face a vicious and unforgiving world. You'll need more than just souped-up wheels to stay alive, both on and off the road. Your trusty estate car can be upgraded and strengthened to protect you even further, and it's sure to take a beating. Keep an eye on your fuel tank and make sure your protective panels hold up against the radiation that permeates the Zone. You'll need to push your limits, make minute repairs, gather resources and adapt your rolling fortress to survive the deadly dangers lurking in the shadows.

EXPLORE THE ZONE

Scattered across the Zone are the remains of experiments by a secret organisation called ARDA. You'll need patience to find the answers. Everywhere you go, you'll find anomalies, supernatural forces of a modified nature that will complicate your task... or at least make it interesting. Silhouettes in the half-light, rolling piles of scrap metal or towering pillars of earth. Each of your runs will be punctuated by hazards straight from another world. As terrifying as these anomalies are, nothing can match the crushing power of the Zone's storms. Step on the gas and get out if you can. These maelstroms rip through the landscape and destroy everything in their path. Don't mess with them.

RECOMMEND

Consult the map, prepare your equipment and set off. Collect resources and data on your excursions. You'll find lots of interesting objects inside the Zone. Come back in one piece and use the contents of your boot to upgrade your car and garage. New challenges await you on each of your excursions: strange weather, unforgiving landscapes and experimental relics. There's a golden rule in the Zone: "nothing ventured, nothing gained". Some materials can only be found in the most dangerous places. Act intelligently and don't waste any time. It won't be a walk in the park.
