STORY

Dishonored 2 takes place 15 years after the defeat of the Lord Regent, at a time when the Plague is but a bad memory. An otherworldly usurper has seized the throne from Empress Emily Kaldwin, leaving the fate of the Islands uncertain. Playing as either Emily or Corvo, you'll travel beyond the iconic streets of Dunwall to Karnaca, a once thriving coastal town that holds the secret to returning Emily to power. Armed with the mark of the Outsider and powerful new supernatural powers, hunt down your enemies and take back what's rightfully yours.

Fully dubbed, Emily Kaldwin and Corvo Attano now let you experience the world and its history through their eyes and emotions. Make good use of each hero's unique powers, gadgets and weapons, and get creative; it's up to you to decide whether you'd rather fist-fight your way through the city streets or sneak across the rooftops, and which enemies you're going to condemn or spare.

• Supernatural powers

An elaborate bone-charm crafting system and new upgrade trees let you customise your powers in many different ways; become a living shadow that stalks its prey silently, bind enemies to do the same to them, or captivate your targets to control their minds. To achieve your goals, you can choose from an infinite number of combinations of violent attacks, non-lethal combat, powers and weapons.

• Fascinating World

From the filthy, rat-infested streets of Dunwall to the lush, exotic coastline of a Karnaca in decline, gaze upon the stylized settings imagined by Arkane's talented storytelling and art teams. Here, the world is a character in its own right, with its own history, architecture and colourful inhabitants. You'll also find some particularly striking mission locations, such as Poussièreville, the district ravaged by dust storms and warring factions, or the mansion of an old madman, riddled with movable walls, deadly traps and mechanical soldiers.

• The Void Engine

The magnificent world of Dishonored 2 comes to life thanks to the power of the new Void Engine, a quantum leap in graphics rendering designed by id Tech and extensively reworked by Arkane Studios.
